PRE WWI TO WWII PAINTINGS & FRAMED MILITARIA.

1) PHOTOGRAPH. A 26" x 24" frame w/ photo of 10 Massachusetts officers & enlisted men dated 1907 measuring 14 1/2" x 11 1/2". Photo is from the 2nd Regiment Marksmanship Competition of 1907 & these 10 men represent the champions. All men are named below the photo. CONDITION: photograph is sharp, clear & has been well protected by the frame. Frame shows expected handling wear.
2) PHOTOGRAPH. A 26" x 24" frame w/ photo of 5 Massachusetts officers & enlisted men dated 1907 measuring 14 1/2" x 11 1/2". Photo is from the New England Marksmanship Competition of 1907 & these 5 men represent the champions of New England. All men are named below the photo. CONDITION: photograph is sharp, clear & has been well protected by the frame. Frame shows expected handling wear.
3) BLOOD CHITS. A 23 1/2" x 16" frame containing 2 matted blood chits. 1 Chit shows a Chinese flag w/ Chinese characters below. The other shows a British flag w/ what appears to be Burmese writing below. Chits measure approx. 8" x 10" each. CONDITION: chits show some staining & discoloration but no tears. Chits have not been examined out of frame.
4) ROSTER. A 24" x 19 1/2" frame containing a WWI decorative roster titled, “Ambulance Co. 28, 4th Division, United States Regulars”. The roster lists all members of the company & notes that they were mustered into service on August 28, 1917 at Ft. Ontario, Oswego, N.Y. The decorative design shows the flags of the Allied Nations w/ Lady Liberty clutching an American flag along w/ an American eagle & WWI battle scene. CONDITION: colors remain vivid. Frame shows minor wear.
5) PORTRAIT. A 32" x 26" gold frame containing a painted portrait of a WWII US sergeant wearing a US Army Europe patch on the left shoulder & a Good Conduct medal bar & an ETO medal bar above the left pocket. Collar disks indicate Infantry. Painting is signed, “30/4/45 Mde Lapeyriere Paris”. CONDITION: painting has a few scattered, minor losses but is substantially intact & quite folky. (02-15732-2(5)/BF).
6) PORTRAIT. An unframed 24" x 20" oil portrait on canvas of a Field Grade Artillery officer of WWII. The officer is in full dress uniform & wears the following medals: War w/ Spain, WWI Victory, WWI Occupation, American Defense, ETO, WWII Victory & WWII Occupation. He also wears the Order of the Crown of Italy around his neck. The hilt of his sword is visible in the painting. CONDITION: the painting shows very minor scattered wear. (02-15763/BF). $400-700.
