SEMI AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# C187024 (1937). The commercially polished blue-finished pistol with 5" bbl. 1911A1 features include beavertail grip safety, a short trigger, an arched mainspring housing, and frame relief cuts. Matching numbered slide with a Type A front sight and a Type C rear sight. Two-piece checkered walnut grips. MAGS: 1 Colt two-tone 7 rd. & 1 MecGAr stainless steel 7 rd. Colt has a good to very good finish, with large spots of patina and peppery oxidation. CONDITION: very good original blue finish with scratches around slide lock areas (assembly scratches), handling wear on the front strap, a large streak mark in front of the rear sight on top of the slide, along with scattered pinprick patina, light marks, and edge wear on the slide. Very good grips. Very good to near-excellent bore. (23-5504/MD). CURIO. $1,400-1,900.
