21& #34; Length X 11.5& #34; Height X 15& #34; Width. This Pack saddle was constructed crudely with a natural piece of wood cut down, wood boards wrapped in padding & amp; cut down blanket (possibly a soldier or horse blanket) with a piece of canvas wrapped around the outside edge. Along with added steel hinges on the ends (that would have been attached to leather straps)(leather is still present on both hinges but the straps have long been torn away). Constructed with flat-head screws, rivets, and rounded iron nails. This saddle was more than likely constructed in a hurry for added equipment on an extra horse.

Provenance from an Oklahoma Auction in the Early 1970& #39;s.
This lot accompanies the saddle sold by Lewis & amp; Grant as Lot 197 in our October, 2022 auction.

**Good condition overall. Some drying of wood and some scattered rust and oxidation on metal parts. The covers have some holes and wear from use and age and the canvas wrap is missing in spots. One pad has detached but could easily be reattached and is included with the lot.**
