Poacher's Trap & Axe from Mozambique

These items were discovered and confiscated in Mozambique by trackers working for the GAJOGO Foundation. The GAJOGO Foundation has three distinct missions:

• Strengthening Wildlife Populations
• Improving Native Peoples Humanity
• Protecting the Environment

During last year’s fundraiser, a poacher’s trap and axe were donated and auctioned off to the highest bidder.  Using a percentage of the sale’s proceeds, the Alamo Chapter purchased equipment and provided funds to support the Anti-Poaching efforts of the GAJOGO Foundation. This support made it possible for anti-poaching teams to expand their efforts, as a result, several poachers were arrested. Items such as traps, axes and muskets used in the poaching process were confiscated and removed from further poaching efforts.  The Trap and Axe up for auction are a direct result of these efforts and partnership. Preserving Wildlife and reducing un-regulated hunting is a key component of any Wildlife Management program.  The Alamo Chapter is proud to be part of a team that takes the steps necessary to ensure that our world’s wildlife is preserved for future generations. A percentage of the proceeds raised will again be used to continue these efforts.  

Please Note; It has become increasing difficult to get items of this nature out of Africa. In fact, this set is the only one that the GAJOGO Foundation was able to get out of Mozambique this past year. It is highly likely this will be our last Poachers Trap and Axe to be offered at auction.
