One-piece wood stock with narrow barrel band, machined steel trigger guard and floorplate with release lever inside trigger guard, bottom sling swivels, and steel buttplate. These Model 1904 rifles were re-worked in the late 1930's to conform with later Mausers purchased by Portugal. Condition is good retaining approx. 85% arsenal refinished bluing, with thinning and wear to the bluing on the top and front of barrel, wear lines from use on bolt body, high edgewear on safety lever and bolt sleeve, and edgewear on the trigger guard. Action and safety work properly, bore is mostly bright with a light frosting. Stock has been sanded and shows muted markings, a few light dings and scratches, thin line repairs to the upper handguard, and a light oil finish. Buttplate shows wear to the finish on the bottom and light pitting. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R)
