The rear sight is a marbles u-notch adjustable for elevation. grip/stock configuration & condition: the refinished furniture is two piece wood with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, smooth forend, and a checkered metal buttplate. The buttplate shows light wear with minor blemishes. The furniture shows pressure dings, surface scratches, and some old blemishes that have been finished over. There are three small cracks on the forend running from the receiver. The lop measures 13. 25" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The furniture rates in very good condition. type of finish: bluedfinish originality: originalbore condition: the bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There are a few very minor flecks of oxidation in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9. 5/10. overall condition: this rifle retains about 70% of its original metal finish.
