The rear sight is a u-notch adjustable for elevation dovetailed into the barrel. A weaver b4 scope is screwed into the side of the receiver. The glass is clear and the scope rates in very good condition. grip/stock configuration & condition: the refinished furniture is two piece wood with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, smooth forend, and a checkered metal buttplate. The buttplate has only light edge wear. The furniture shows a few pressure dings, surface scratches, and a few old blemishes under the current finish. The lop measures 13. 25" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There is a repaired chip at the toe of the stock. The furniture rates in very good plus condition. type of finish: bluedfinish originality: originalbore condition: the bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is some light freckling towards the muzzle end of the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 8. 5/10. overall condition: this rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The finish is strong showing only a few minor surface blemishes. The screw heads show little to no tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete.
