Pre-WWI Era P.08 Luger, #8082a, 9mm, 4'' barrel, blue finish, straw small parts, checkered walnut grips, with tin-plated wood based magazine with non-matching serial number. Blank chamber area, DWM to toggle link, ''Gesichert'' marked thumb safety, ''Geladen'' to extractor. All visible matching numbers, except magazine. Front strap marked ''B.3.R.12.2.''. An interesting early variation that was mfg'd for the German Army without stock lug, and year of mfg. precedes 1912 as the chamber area is undated. These early models lack the toggle hold-open device. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 92%-94% lightly thinning blue and most of the losses at highpoint of sideplate. Grips show minor oil staining but very little wear to checks. Action is crisp, bore is bright. Est.: $2,000-$3,000. (C&R/PPT)
