Pre-War German Drilling Combination Gun, by C. Stiegle in Munchen, #13075, 16ga./16ga. over 8mmx58.5mm rimmed, 27'' Baildon Stahl barrels, blued finish, double triggers, cocking indicators, barrel selector, Greener type side safety, front lever action opener, Nitro proof marks, front long round bead sight, mid barrel bead, rear ''V''-notched barrel sight, and folding peep sight at rear of action. Checkered walnut stock with Prince of Wales grip, cheekpiece, hard rubber butt extension and buttplate, and sling swivels, with checkered walnut forend with Deely latch on bottom. Maker marked on top of barrels. Flat filed rib with rib extension. Condition is very good, with bright shiny bores in all three barrels. Original rust blued finish on the barrels is thinning from use, mainly at the muzzle area and around the forend area. Receiver has a grey patina with traces of case color in protected areas. Front lever and grip area of trigger guard are mostly bright, with some case color remaining on the bottom of the trigger guard, under the lever. Action locks up tight, and it appears to be sound mechanically. Stock shows an old refinish with the stock extensions added a long time ago; checkering is still nice on the stock and forend with only a few minor dings. Front of stock near the action shows a slightly darker original color to the wood with more evident dings and scratches. LOP is 14.75'' to front trigger, with 13.25'' to original wood. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (C&R)
