Possibly the Only Prototype Randall Firearms C311 Curtis E. LeMay 4-Star Featherweight Semi-Automatic Pistol, with black oxide finish, #T51, .45 ACP cal., 4.25'' barrel, blackened stainless slide, blackened alloy receiver, checkered wood grips; fixed sights include a blade front sight and square-notched rear, no magazine. Right side of slide is marked ''GEN. CURTIS E. LeMAY (four stars)''; left side ''STAINLESS/STEEL RANDALL CALIBER/.45 AUTO''; right side of frame with maker's name and ''T51''. The consignor states that this pistol was made for the 1984 Dallas TX Shot Show as an example of what the future would hold had the company moved forward. Included is part of a red plastic tag that says ''Shot Show Dallas 1984'', and looks like it may have hung from the pistol while on display. Condition is excellent overall retaining approx. 98% metal finish; the frame with a handful of intermittent small manufacturing blemishes that were then finished over; bottom left edge of the mag well and grip with a few small impressions that appear more recent as they have resulted in a tiny bit of finish loss, otherwise the grips appear as new. Action is smooth, excellent bore. Est.: $3,000-$5,000. (Modern/PPT)
