An extremely popular German made classic knife developed in 1956 for the East African hunting organization EAPHA. Manufactured in Solingen, Germany, this is a versatile knife with a hatchet edge ground into the center of the back of the blade for chopping, and a sturdy tip. The blade has a saw tooth grind in the back of the cutting edge for sawing, or fish scaling. The handle is comprised of staghorn scales that are firmly through-riveted to the tang. The blade length is 6.10" with a thickness of .200", and giving a total length of 10.63". The blade is comprised of a variation of 440A stainless steel with a 55-57 HRC (Rockwell hardness). Knife includes the original dark brown leather sheath, and a second lighter colored leather sheath.
