WITH ARMOURERS BORE SIGHTING TRIPOD. Cal. 303 British. S# 2930H. Very attractive display piece w/ cutaways outlined in red in numerous areas to show the interior of the rifle & functioning of parts. Cutaways include chamber, bore, bedding points, lock work, mag. & details butt showing pull through cleaner, oiler & stock attaching bolt. Bbl. 25 1/2". Butt socket marked on left side "R.F.I." which denotes mfg. at Royal Factory Ishapore in India. Nicely fitting matching walnut stock set. Stock has "Indian Kiss" reinforcing screw below chamber. Open rear sight graduated to 2,000 yards. Sight is marked underneath slide "D.P" for drill purpose. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Armourer's tripod display rest which was originally used for bore sighting MKIII rifles. Tripod has green painted wooden legs w/ pointed metal ends. Fittings are cast iron. Rifle cradle is painted black & marked "MK III". Cradle is retained by spring clips, has screw elevation adj. & all adjustments have locking screws. Measures approx. 57" tall, tripod legs spaced 32" apart. CONDITION: wood & metal in excellent condition having very light wear & tiny handling marks. Tripod has attractive original painted finish, wear & handling marks commensurate w/ long careful use & appears fully serviceable for it's original purpose. (21-1377/RW). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
