Columbian converted bolt-action rifle rechambered in 30-06 Spring an marked .30 on rear of receiver. 1952 dated receiver with the Columbian Coat of Arms. Blued finish, and the bolt is in-the-white. Wood semi-pistol grip stock and matching handguard, smooth curved trigger, sling swivels, ribbed sheet metal buttplate, approximately 23.5" barrel, 'H' style front barrel band, marked with importer CAI, St. Albans, VT, and 'MOD 98 Belgium' on barrel. Inverted "V" front sight and is painted red, tangent adjustable rear sight graduated to 2000 meters. Non-matching serial numbers. Retains about 80% of original bluing, with some scattered finish wear. Some handling/edge wear on the metal, some pitting on the front of the barrel, and also on the bolt. Wood is good with normal handling wear, handguard is cracked between the receiver and rear sight. Action is smooth/tight. Bore appears to be bright with good rifling, and comes with a fabric sling
