RARE ALL METAL 17TH CENTURY FLINTLOCK PISTOL

OF DUTCH/GERMAN CLOETER FAMILY. Cal. 54. NSN. 17.5”overall, oct. to round 3 stage 11” barrel with wedding ring transition. Hollow forged receiver with battery on right side and main spring external on left which is unique to Jan Cloeter (active 1660-1680) and his other family members. Jan worked in Dusseldorf, and other family in Mannheim & Maastricht. This pistol does have 4 cartouches observed on bottom of frame which are only partly discerned, domed butt cap with cutout border design, 2 ramrod pipes and tapered trumpet headed ramrod. Cloeter family firearms are unique and desirable arms, found in museums worldwide. CONDITION: appears complete and original, functional action, and clear bore rusted at breech.
