NO. 1 FIRST ISSUE REVOLVER. Cal. 22, S# 9793. Standard first issue configuration, 3.2" barrel, one line address, patent marked cylinder, manufactured 1859. This revolver is featured in November 2006 Gun Report article by Mike Bricker and agent marked in same S&W dies as address: "WOLFE, DASH, AND FISHER, NEW YORK", silver & blue finish mounted with rosewood grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: copy of November 2006 Gun Report article "Some Early Smith and Wesson Export Revolvers" and 2 old photos of revolver. CONDITION: fine overall, complete & matching serial numbers and assembly markings. Revolver retains most of its silver finish on frame, about 20% blue on barrel, markings all crisp and discernible. Grips are sound and well fit with traces of original varnish. Mechanically functions, but does not lock cylinder properly, good rifled bore.
