1) Rare 9.5” x 7.5” illustrated letter sheet advertisement for “Allen’s Patent New Model” Revolver, June 1861. CONDITION: good to very good overall, water staining on right side. 2) Rare 10.5” x 8.5” illustrated letter sheet, blue paper, “Ethan Allen & Co.” dated 1866. CONDITION: very good overall. 3) 8.5” x 5” illustrated ad for “A. W. Spies, New York” illustrated w/ Colt Dragoon, 2 pepperboxes & other arms. CONDITION: good to very good, chip on one edge and water staining. 4) 8.5” x 7” Bill of sale of New York agent illustrated w/ Allen revolver, dated 1874. CONDITION good to very good overall, acid burn, slight reductions. 5) 1866 Dated “William Read & Sons” bill of sale advertising Allen’s Pistols. CONDITION: closely trimmed on left side missing text, otherwise very good. 6) 1861 Dated bill of sale “John Lovell, Boston” advertising “Allen’s, Colt’s, and other revolvers”. CONDITION: very good overall. 7) Rare 1855 Allen’s US Patent specifications & illustrations for “an improved breech-loading firearm”. Two large foldout illustrations measure 30” x 24”, one for pistol & one for rifle. 8 Page pamphlet is published in London, Allen is requesting British patent. CONDITION: blue paper wrappers are loose & chipped edges, large plates are very good w/ folds. 8) Framed Forehand Arms Company letter written 1900. CONDITION: poor overall w/ tape stains but vignette is all discernable. (02-14643-1/JS). $500-700.
