RARE MEXICAN DEFENSE CONTRACT COLT M4 CARBINE.
Cal.5.56 MM. S# LE344891. Bbl. 16". Extremely rare Colt LE6920 M4 Carbine mfg. for the Mexico Distrito Federal. Though occasionally a rare example will hit the market w/ the roll mark "S.D.N. MEXICO D.F." (Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional of Mexico) on the right side magwell, this rare example is engraved "Estados Unidos Mexicanos" w/ Mexican National Coat of Arms. It is believed that the guns w/ the COA were mfg. by Colt as sales samples for the Mexican Government. The factory box designates it as LE6920 MP. Magpul MOE SL 4-position collapsible stock & matching stippled MOE SL pistol grip. 16" M4 profile bbl. marked "13629 MP"/ "5.56 NATO 1/7" terminated w/ threaded muzzle & A2 flash hider. Protected post front sight/ gas block/ bayonet lug assembly properly retain Knight's Armament quad rail system w/ slip over covers. Flat top upper receiver w/ brass deflector & rnd. forward assist host Magpul MBUS rear flip up adj. sight. Lower receiver marked on left side w/ Colt logo above "M4 CARBINE"/ "CAL. 5.56MM" & S# on magwell. Markings above trigger include "COLT DEFENSE"/ "HARTFORD CONN."/ "U.S.A.". Safety selector marked "Safe/ Fire" on both sides of receiver, though controls are located on the left. There are a few different stories about the market availability of these particular rifles that range from contracts undelivered to contract returns w/ a few different quantities originally mfg., but one thing we know for certain is the rifle's engraved w/ the Mexico National Coat of Arms is extremely rare. Matching dark black finish on all exposed metal surfaces w/ all engraving highlighted white. MAGS: 2 PMAG 30 rd. as shipped from Colt. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unopened armorer's/ maintenance kit including sling, cleaning supplies, lock & Spanish language owners manual. Sealed, fired, test casing. Colt factory cardboard shipping box. CONDITION: all outward appearances indicate new, unfired. Still retains plastic chamber flag & received in clear plastic coated shipping bag.
