RARE, SUPER EARLY, SWISS MILITARY 1900 LUGERS,
#29 & #30 CONSECUTIVE PAIR! Cal. 7.65mm Luger. S# 29, 30. An unparalleled opportunity to own a consecutive pair of early, Swiss M1900 Lugers, all matching, with military magazines and "01" dated holsters. The pistols are identical in configuration, each with a 4.75" fast taper barrel, drift adjustable front sight and notched rear sight ("U" notch #29; "V" notch #30). Swiss Cross in Sunburst over chamber. Dished toggle with anti-rebound lock, DWM on middle link, thin trigger, thin grip safety, and large, first variation checkered safety. Scattered Swiss acceptance crosses in usual locations and both frames relieved for the later, improved magazines. Disassembly shows both guns to be fully matching, including the grips. MAGS: both pistols fitted with military magazines good (#30) to very good (#29) with wood plugs/metal discs. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: both holsters are marked identically on obverse surface, "L.G. WALTHER/ SATTLER BERN" and dated "01". #29 VG+ holster with supple leather and intact stitching. #30 Near excellent holster with supple leather, light age cracking on top of flap, intact stitching, and later style strap. CONDITION: #29 has approximately 75-80% original blue, presenting nicely, as most of the wear is on the grip straps. Comparable fading of straw with no suggestion of enhancement. Discreetly import marked using a fine laser etching method in an unobtrusive area. Dark grips with blunted checkering. Bright bore and near excellent manual mechanics. #30 Has been arsenal refurbished, now with approximately 93-95% blue, presenting very nicely as most wear is on the front strap. Straw parts freshened to be slightly better. Grips with slightly blunted checkering, the right panel with the usual compression just behind the magazine release button and a light coat of varnish. Bright bore and near excellent manual mechanics. An impressive set and an incredible find by any metric! PROVENANCE: From the esteemed collection of Paul Regnier, Switzerland. (20-1408 & 20-1409/LA). CURIO. $12,500-25,000.
