RARE WWII JAPANESE TYPE 90 THREE BARREL FLARE

PISTOL BY KAYABA KOGYO. Cal. 26mm. S# 5043. Mfg. approx. 1945 for the Imperial Navy as 3rd variation. Bbls. 4 1/8" w/ top bbl. having leftover sticker residue & 4 inspection stamps on breech: Kabaya logo, cherry blossom, Series stamp & anchor. Assembly # "46" on bottom of bbls. release lever, ejector & inside of frame. Japan black paint finish. Back of frame has unusual knurled charging disk used to cock the firing pins. 3 Position firing switch for each bbl. Left side of frame is marked w/ Kayaba logo "PAT / N0.93006". 2 Piece bakelite grips. Lanyard ring on butt has brass Museum ID disk marked "49". CONDITION: pistol has fair overall appearing w/ peppery oxidation throughout, thinning paint finish, & large area of pitting on left side. Grips very good. Grip frame shows some chips near rear bottom of trigger guard bow. Stiff operation to cocking disk. Good bores w/ some areas of oxidation. (02-17640/MD). $1,000-1,500.
