SUBGAUGE TUBE SET AND CASE. Cal. 12 ga. S# 27171. The 25 3/8" monobloc brls. fitted with slightly raised ventilated rib has Remington nomenclature, gauge & choke information stamped on in various places, mostly on top brl. Bottom of monobloc is stamped with serial number. Blued, low profile Model 32 type action features toggling safety and trigger selector on top tang. Sides of action have rolled on scroll engraving surrounding dog scenes: pointer on left, setter on right. Bottom of action is stamped with make, model & serial number. Plastic capped pistol grip buttstock made of nicely crotch figured American walnut measures 14 3/4" over adjustable "Morgan" type trap pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching checkered target forend has sliding release unique to this model. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in black plastic SKB marked case lined in green fur. Top compartment contains Briley tube set for 20, 28, and .410. Bottom compartment has installation plug. All brls. and tubes are marked "SKEET". CONDITION: very good to fine. Brls. retaining approx. 90% original blue with scattering of light marks and silvering of sharp edges. Action retains about 80% original blue with silvering on sharp edges and with a fair number of scratches on left side toward bottom as well as browning and silvering at front of trigger guard. Stocks retain over 90% original varnish with a scattering of marks. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight. Mechanically good. Case is fine, showing some handling. Interior cloth with rubs and compressions. Tube set shows considerable use. (22-3746/MGM). CURIO. $3,000-4,000.
