Cal. 45 ACP. S# 1433789. Bbl. 5" without any markings; standard throating. Mfg. 1943 with "FJA", ordnance wheel, flaming bomb (right side by finger recess) and "P" proofs. Fully checkered walnut grips; originals were brown plastic by Keyes Fibre. Right side above trigger has "R.I.A." and "FK" (Frank Krack; RIA inspector from Sept 1941 to July 1946). Long steel trigger (great target quality trigger pull) from Model 1911 having marks of prior shoe installation. "G" frame inspector mark plus "3" and "Y" on trigger guard. Late in the year features of grooved arched mainspring housing, safety tab without under cut and serrated slide lock. Slight work to resemble post war made up National Match pistol as used at Camp Perry. Tall (.260") square faced undercut front sight and BO-MAR rear sight in standard dovetail. Rear of frame rails have punch marks on sides rather than top to tighten the fame to slide fit yet it's about normal. MAGS: 1 good to very good Scovill 7 rd. having deep swedged pins. CONDITION: good to very good appearance as refinished; slide with more gloss than frame. All markings clear except ordnance wheel. Heat discoloration on front of slide in sight area. Slight thinning of finish in grip area. Typical scratch from improper slide lock installation. Bent lanyard loop. Very good grips. Exterior of barrel with noticeable function wear.
