SHOTGUN BY H.A. LINDNER. Cal. 10 Ga. (2 7/8"). S# 2929. 30" Damascus bbls. of a pattern that resembles "Bernard" are engraved "CHARLES DALY EXTRA FINE DAMASCUS BARRELS. DIAMOND QUALITY" on unmatted portion of concave game rib. Bbl. flats are stamped w/ S# & bottoms of bbls. w/ crowned crossed pistol logos (Lindner). Case hardened boxlock action stamped w/ Anson Deely patent use number "411" on breech face features automatic safety ("SAFE" inlaid in gold) & dbl. triggers w/ checkered finger blades. Action is nicely filed & engraved w/ 80% coverage exceptionally well cut & beautifully shaded varying sized open scroll w/in geometric borders. "CHARLES DALY" is on scrolled riband on each side. This fine scroll surrounds game scenes on bottom of action w/ 2 game birds sheltered under a pine tree at front w/ standing roebuck on trigger plate. Scroll engraved trigger guard bow portrays a pointing pointer, S# is on tang. Replacement rnd. knob buttstock of lightly figured American walnut measures 14 1/2" over black "Pachmayr" pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Original splinter forend w/ inlet horn tip has Deely release. MEASUREMENTS: BARRELS: bore diameter: R .774, L .780. Restriction: R .025 (MOD), L .025 (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: R . 055, L .052. STOCK: LOP: 14 1/2". DAC: 1 11/16". DAH: 2 5/8". Cast: Neutral. WEIGHT: 10 lbs. 7 oz. CONDITION: very good as partially refurbished. Bbls. retaining most of their original Damascus finish. Action w/ traces of original case color is mostly silver gray, transitioning to brown around bottom. Replacement buttstock retains nearly all of its oil finish. Trigger guard reblued. Bores are bright & shiny, left bbl. w/ very slight 6" long bulge visible on outside 13" from breech end (cleaned up on the inside).
