Rare and Genuine 19th Century U.S. Patent Office Model ''Fruit Jar'', Patent No. 61827 granted to W.L. Haller on Feb. 5, 1867, 7'' tall and 3.5'' diameter turned hardwood cylinder (solid, not hollow) has removable 2.875'' x 1'' matching round top (gravity fit), is accompanied by a 3'' x 3.125'' manila card tag wired to the top with a .5'' round lead seal marked ''4PM'' below a sunburst on both sides and reading ''61827/WL Haller/Fruit Jar/Patented Feb. 5/1867'', another tag marked ''4971'' over ''Household'' over ''Property of/American Patent Models, Inc./Rockefeller Center, New York, N.Y.'', another marked ''Wm. L. Haller/Fruit Jar /filed/July 24th '65'' plus a later (but old) sales tag from the famed los Angeles department store, Bullock's Wilshire. Condition to all is very good showing genuine age (tags are rather fragile, as expected) but correct and complete. Est.: $250-$500.
