SN: 1785325 Rare arsenal rebuilt U.S. military magazine fed semi-automatic service rifle chambered in .30 Carbine, manufactured circa 1943. Irwin-Pederson only produced approximately 150,000 rifles before the Ordnance Department canceled their contract, making them the rarest of all the M1 Carbines. Features a parkerized finish, 18" ROCK-OLA barrel dated 3-43, shrouded blade front sight, adjustable sliding rear aperture sight, wide barrel band with bayonet lug, two-rivet hand guard with wide groove, push button safety, push button magazine release, no magazine, smooth trigger, flat bolt and smooth walnut pistol grip shoulder stock with low-wood forend, oval cut oiler slot & metal buttplate. Markings: Front sight - "IPN" Barrel Band - "KI" Rear Sight - "I.R. CO." Stock - "W.R.A./G.H.D." & [crossed cannons] Safety - "EPB" and the Magazine Catch - underlined "M". Rifle retains approximately 90% of it's parkerized finish showing only light wear and some pin prick pitting under the finish on the left side of the receiver along the stock line. Action is smooth, the bore is excellent and the wood stock is very good. Condition is NRA Very Good ***C&R Firearm***
