'The Field Master,' a vintage American made take-down pump-action rimfire rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle, and manufactured circa 1941. The Model 121 was in production from 1936 until 1954. Rifle features a blued finish, 24-3/4" tapered barrel, dovetailed blade front sight with silver colored bead, elevation adjustable rear sporting sight, 3/4 length tube magazine, annular cut trigger mounted cross-bolt safety, and a knurled takedown screw on the right side of the receiver. The walnut furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, grooved pump handle, and a factory checkered metal butt plate. The original blued finish retained is approximately 94% with some minor thinning, contact wear from the action, and the finish taking on a dark gray patina with some brown hues. Metal displays no deformation, but there was rust observed on the butt plate and on the barrel. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. Furniture wood is in good condition with a fair amount of heavy handling marks.
