American made take-down pump-action centerfire rifle chambered for .30 Remington, and manufactured circa 1935 in Ilion, NY. The models 141 and 141A were produced between 1935 and 1950. Approximately 2,000 Model 141 rifles were made in 1935 with 22" barrels. Rifle features blued finish, 22" tapered barrel, dovetailed blade front sight with a silver colored bead, elevation adjustable sporting rear sight, about half-length fluted tube magazine, annular cut trigger guard mounted push-button safety, push-button bolt release mounted on the side of the bolt, smooth curved trigger, and a knurled take-down knob mounted on the left side of the receiver. The hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, corn-cob style pump handle, and checkered factory metal butt plate. A brass cartridge head medallion decorates the left side of the receiver. The original blued finish retained is approximately 85% with edge wear, light thinning on the receiver, contact wear from the slide handle, and the finish taking on a brown patina. Metal displays a deformed screw on the right side of the slide handle, and some light oxidative speckling. Furniture wood is in fair to good condition with a crack on the front of the slide handle, and the wood is chamfered out around the right side screw. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling.
Condition is NRA Near Good.
