Classic side-by-side, hammerless double-barrel shotgun produced by Remington Arms from 1894 until 1910. A-grade, standard field model of the Remington Model 1894 line. Top lever break-action, double triggers, sliding tang safety, single auto ejector, 20' Damascus steel barrel, the barrels have been shortened to put the shotgun in "Coach Gun" configuration. Cylinder bores, low profile solid rib. Barrels appear professionally done a long time ago. All matching serial numbers, number puts production at circa 1899. Smooth walnut forearm with push-button release, walnut shoulder stock with checkered, rounded "Prince of Wales' grip, hard rubber buttplate with spur & "RA" motif. Functions well with tight barrel lock-up, bores are bright with very light scattered pitting, the metal finishes have turned a gray/brown patina with age & wear and the wood stocks are overall very good with some minor scratches/dings, there is a chip behind the upper tang. The Remington markings are crisp/clear. Note* The chamber is a shorter 2 5/8' and original Damascus barrels can split or rupture if fired with high-pressure modern smokeless ammunition.
NRA Condition-Good. C&R Firearm.
