Sporterized US Military bolt action rifle manufactured circa 1918. Features blued finish, walnut sporter stock with light fiddle grain throughout, 24" barrel, beaded blade front sight dovetailed into stippled ramp with sight hood, no rear sight, drilled & tapped receiver (across top and on right side of bridge), dogleg bolt handle, manual safety on right side of tang. Trigger is adjustable, aftermarket single stage type. Triggerguard reshaped, cut and re-welded to flat profile (no longer has the drop). Stock is checkered walnut with right handed cheek piece, sling studs, ventilated recoil pad, black plastic grip cap with white line spacer. Bolt handle swept for scope clearance. Bore is very good condition, bright. Retains 80% blue, plum colored on receiver & barrel, thinning and fading to brown on bottom metal. Bolt body and extractor are polished & jeweled bright metal. Wood is very good condition with dents & creases, repair splice forward of bolt handle, holes from previous sling stud locations. Slight bulge visible on the outside of the band for front sight - no matching visible bulge inside bore. Condition is NRA Very Good (as reworked) *** C&R Firearm ***
