American made semi-automatic magazine fed rimfire rifle chambered for .22 Long Rifle, and manufactured in Ilion, NY. Remington Model 522 Viper was in production From 1993 until 1998. Rifle features a blued barrel and a matte black polymer receiver, serrated receiver dovetail for optic mounting, an approximately 20" round barrel, raised blade front sight with a silver-toned bead, elevation adjustable rear sight (incomplete), smooth curved trigger, annular cut push-button safety mounted on trigger guard, smooth magazine release mounted inside magazine well, magazine disconnect type feature, and a combination bolt knob and bolt stop (manual push type). The black synthetic furniture consists of a semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, smooth wide contoured forend, and an integrated checkered butt plate. A Tasco Pronghorn 4x32mm scope with a duplex reticle is mounted to the receiver utilizing two-piece 1" rings. The original blued finish retained is approximately 92% with losses at the muzzle, and handling blemishes. Metal displays no deformation, but there is some light oxidative peppering, and pitting at the muzzle. Action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. Furniture polymer is in near excellent condition with superficial blemishes. The scope's sight picture is bright with slight yellowing. Rifle includes one magazine total.
Condition is NRA Fair.
