American made double-barrel single-action derringer style pistol chambered for .41 Rimfire Short, and manufactured in Ilion, NY. The Remington Model 95 was in production from 1866 until 1935, and the Type II was manufactured circa 1888-1911. Pistol features a blued finish, 3" double over and under barrels with a top rib, fixed blade front sight, 'U' notched rear sight at the barrel hinge, smooth curved spur trigger, checkered manual shell extractor on the left side of the barrels, automatic barrel selector, external hammer with a checkered spur, barrel locking lever on the right side of the frame, smooth grip straps, and two-piece smooth hardwood grips (typically walnut or rosewood). 'REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y.' is marked on the barrel rib. The original blued finish retained is approximately 20% with a dark gray-brown patina. Metal displays some light oxidation at the barrel hinge with light areas on the barrels, and a couple small specks in the bore. The metal also shows scattered pin-prick pitting. Bores show decent rifling with some peppering, and the action is smooth and crisp. The grip wood is in very good condition with a few minor handling marks. The barrel hinge has been repaird to the extent that the action opens and closes, but there is still missing material.
Condition is NRA Poor.
