WWII era U.S. military recoil operated semi-automatic combat shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" or shorter shells, manufactured circa 1943. ( made until 1947) Features a blued "MILITARY FINISH", 20" barrel marked "CYL", CMM with anchor proof, tube magazine, push button safety, smooth trigger, serrated charging handle. Marked "US" with 'flaming bomb' emblem on left of receiver and top of barrel, Bore is very good/bright. Retains 85% finish, with minor scratches, and handling/edge wear. Wood is very good with minor scratches, there is a area of finish loss on the left buttstock. Someone has etched "OLM" on the left lower barrel in small letters. The issue buttplate has been removed and replaced with a "Mershon" slip-on rubber recoil pad. A newer adjustable "Poly-Choke" with brass sighting bead has been attached to the muzzle. It would not take much to bring this shotgun back to it's original Military configuration. NRA Condition-Good. C&R Firearm.
