Vintage American made hammerless take-down slide-action repeating rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle. The Model 12A was produced between 1909-1936, and what looks like a barrel date code is illegible. Rifle features a blued finish, an approximately 22" round barrel, dovetailed blade front sight, dovetailed elevation adjustable rear sight, 2/3 length tube magazine, smooth curved trigger, annular cut rear trigger guard mounted push-button safety, and take-down steel receiver. The walnut furniture consists of a smooth straight gripped shoulder stock, corn cob style slide handle, and a checkered Remington black plastic butt plate. The original blued finish retained is approximately 80% with minor scratches, edge wear, handling wear, and some friction wear on the slide. The blued finish is giving away to a brown patina. Metal displays slight deformation in some of the screw slots, and the trigger guard was slightly bent. There were a few observed spots of rust on the magazine tube, barrel, and receiver. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is frosty with visible rifling. Furniture wood is in good sound condition with handling marks, and the butt plate is a little larger than the butt of the stock. Markings are sharp and legible.
Condition is NRA Fair to Good.
