Scarce model 14-R carbine. Vintage take-down slide action repeating rifle chambered in .30 Remington, manufactured circa 1920, with a "C" over the serial number. Features a blued finish, 18" tapered barrel, dovetailed blade front sight with bead top, elevation adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sporting sight, 5 round tube magazine, smooth trigger, push button safety, take-down receiver, grooved walnut slide handle and smooth straight grip shoulder stock with checkered steel factory buttplate. The UMC cartridge case head on the receiver is faint. Rifle exhibits approximately 40% of it's original finish showing carry wear on the receiver, slide wear on the magazine tube & magazine connector. Action is crisp, the bore is pitted, rifling present, and the wood stocks are poor. Slide handle has been varnished and shows 3 large cracks. Repaired chip at the top the wrist. Approx 3" crack on the top of the wrist. Also multiple cracks extending from the receiver to the tang and some repairs at the top and bottom of wrist. Condition is poor. C&R Firearm.
