Remington Model 1858 Army percussion revolver, .44 caliber, Serial #30016. The pistol is in fine overall condition with an 8” octagon barrel. The pistol retains a significant amount of toning blue finish with the remainder going to patina, sharp edges on the barrel and a crisp barrel address. The smooth wood grips are nice with a faint cartouche on the left panel. The right panel has “FEB 20” hand etched into it and thebutt has “CMCS 1907”. The brass trigger guard has taken on a taffy color and the pistol has numerous proofs and acceptance marks on the loader, cylinder, frame and barrel. The bore is good, the action workswell and the markings are crisp. On this desirable Civil War era pistol. $600-$1,200. (Antique).
