Remington Model 24 Semi-Automatic Takedown Rifle, #67419, .22 LR, 19" barrel, blue finish. Pistol grip walnut stock and Schnabel forend with a steel Remington-UMC buttplate. Sights include a blade front and "U"-notched rear with elevation adjustment screw. Matching numbers on the barrel and receiver. Mfg'd August 1928 (WW). This rifle is in fair condition overall. Receiver retains little finish and has general cloudy light rust present on the surface. Barrel retains approx. 75% thinning and toning blue, with general tiny rust specks. Factory lettering is clear. Wood with what appears to be an old added coat of varnish, that was applied over general small to medium sized surface dents and scratches. There is an approx. 1" hairline crack to left side of the forend, adjacent the receiver. Action is smooth. Bore is bright, rifling shows normal mild wear but is clearly defined; near excellent overall. A thorough cleaning may improve the overall metal condition. Est.: $150-$300. (C&R)
