'The Matchmaster', a vintage magazine fed bolt-action rimfire target rifle chambered for .22 Long Rifle, and manufactured in Ilion, NY. Model 513-T ('T' designates 'Target') was in production from 1940 until 1968. Rifle features a blued finish, an approximately 27" heavy barrel with a recessed crown, serrated raised blade front sight, fully adjustable Redfield rear aperture sight, swept back and turned down bolt handle, in-the-white bolt, serrated curved trigger, paddle magazine release inside the magazine well, accepts detachable magazines, and serrated right receiver mounted manual safety. The walnut furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, smooth forend with a sling swivel attached to a mounting plate (plate has multiple mounting locations), sling swivel on the bottom of the shoulder stock, and a checkered steel butt plate. The original blued finish retained is approximately 94% with handling blemishes, a few small spots of losses, edge wear, and a couple of larger scratches near the front sight. Metal displays a small amount of deformation in some of the screw slots, and light areas of rust were observed along the barrel, sling swivels, and the trigger guard. Furniture wood is in poor to fair condition with handling blemishes, and a 4-1/2" crack on the left side of the action. It may be possible to repair the crack for safe shooting. Action is smooth and crisp, but the safety does not appear to function. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Rifle included one Remington 5-round magazine total.
Condition is NRA Fair.
