The rear sight is an adjustable elevation u-notch screwed into the barrel. grip/stock configuration & condition: the refinished furniture is one piece wood with a semi pistol grip, straight comb, smooth forend, and a checkered synthetic buttplate. The buttplate has moderate handling wear with a chip taken out of the top. The initials "csh" are located on the buttplate. The furniture has pressure dings, scuffs, and scratches. There several cracks in the buttstock. The lop measures 13. 75" from the face of the trigger to the butt. The furniture rates in good condition. type of finish: bluedfinish originality: originalbore condition: the bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp with light fouling. There is light patina towards the muzzle end of the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 8. 5/10. overall condition: this firearm retains about none of its original metal finish as most has turned to patina or oxidation. The finish shows edge wear, patina, scratches, dings, and oxidation. The screw heads are lightly tooled and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete.
