There are filled screw holes where they would be mounted. The top of the receiver has two weaver bases ready for an optic, though none is present. grip/stock configuration & condition: the furniture is one piece wood with a raised comb, semi-pistol grip, smooth forend, and a serrated synthetic remington buttplate. The buttplate has moderate handling wear. The furniture shows scattered pressure dings, scuffs, and scratches. The lop measures 13. 75" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in very good condition. type of finish: bluedfinish originality: originalbore condition: the bore is semi-bright and the rifling is sharp. There are a few light spots of pitting in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 7/10. overall condition: this rifle retains about 80% of its original metal finish. The finish shows a large spot of pitting at the muzzle that has been scrubbed. The barrel has spots of freckling and other light scrub marks. The receiver is largely unblemished. The screw heads show little to no tooling and retain turnable slots. There is some oxidation on the buttplate screws. The markings are clear and complete.
