Vintage American made single-shot rolling-block rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle, and manufactured in Ilion, NY. The No. 4 Rolling Blocks were produced circa 1890 - 1933. Rifle features blued barrel and small parts, case-hardened receiver, an approximately 22" octagonal barrel, dovetailed blade front sight, dovetailed 'V' notched rear sight, smooth curved trigger, checkered breech block spur, external hammer with a checkered spur, and a shell extractor. The hardwood furniture consists of smooth straight gripped "perch-belly" shoulder stock, smooth forend, and a smooth crescent metal butt plate. The original blued finish retained is approximately 86% with edge wear, and handling blemishes. The color-case finish retained is approximately 40% with a fading of the colors to a mottled dark gray/brown patina. Metal displays dings and nicks along the barrel, and oxidative speckling was observed on the rifle's entirety. Furniture wood is in very good condition considering its age with some handling marks. Action is smooth and crisp, and the bore shows rifling with use and oxidation. Markings are sharp and legible.
Condition is NRA Fair.
