SN: 2448412 Pistol. Semi-Automatic. U.S. Military pistol manufactured the last year of WW2 in 1945. Magazine fed, short recoil. 5" Barrel. Slide mounted front blade and U-notch rear sights. Parkerized "Wartime" metal finish, two-tone. Grip safety. Lanyard ring. Trigger travel stop. Wide M1911 hammer. Right frame stamped , to the rear of the slide stop pin is "United States Property" with the serial number below it. "M1911A1 U.S. Army" is stamped to the front of pin. Feint Ordnance stamp behind the grip panel. "G" is stamped under the firing pin stop on the slide. Left side of frame is stamped in 2 lines "Remington Rand Inc. Syracuse,New York." "P" is stamped in front of the rear sight, and below the magazine release button. Barrel stamped "F", and "P". No serial number on slide. Right triggerguard is stamped "J", and "Y". "FJA" inspectors stamp is present below the slide catch. (Col. Frank J. Atwood)) Brown checkered plastic are reinforced , and appear original to the pistol. Bore is excellent/bright. Slide action is smooth/tight. Metal finish is about 97% with minor edge wear, and some minor scratches. . Comes with original unmarked magazine.
