Modern Reproduction of a 19th Century Halfstock Percussion Fowler, likely a ''kit gun,'' NVSN, 16 ga., 33'' blued barrel is without markings or sights; blued and unmarked flat lockplate and hammer; brass triggerguard and buttplate having long tangs; unusual wooden under-barrel ''rib'' with two pinned brass ferrules retaining the brass-tipped hardwood ramrod; varnished hardwood halfstock with brass nosecap. Condition is good to very good, the barrel and lockplate retaining most of their original blue (the barrel showing light discoloration), the brass with a light patina. Stock retains most of its reddish finish and with ''BCS'' painted (?) on right butt and a shield painted (?) on top wrist (buttstock fits short at bottom of buttplate, with a 2'' loose chip at front of lockplate and a 6'' repaired crack at left behind the nosecap, which is crudely pieced from sheet brass), with scattered dings and scrapes. Action functions; smoothbore appears clean with dirt/erosion toward muzzle. Est.: $200-$350. (No FFL Required)
