American made hammerless pump-action take-down shotgun chambered for 2-3/4" 12 Gauge shotshells, and manufactured in Chicopee Falls, MA. The Riverside Arms Company Model 520 was produced by J. Stevens. Designed by John M. Browning, the Model 520 was in production from 1909 until 1939. Shotgun features a blued finish, a 30" round barrel, brass bead front sight, the fixed choke measures 'Improved Modified' with a drop-in gauge (barrel marked 'Full'), smooth curved trigger, serrated bolt release on the left side of the trigger guard, half-length tubular magazine under barrel, single action bar, and a spur-like safety inside the trigger guard. The walnut furniture consists of a semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, checkered pump handle, 13-3/4" length-of-pull, and a serrated black plastic butt plate. The original blued finish retained is approximately 60% with muzzle and edge wear, general thinning, and handling wear. The finish is taking on a dark gray patina. Metal displays slight deformation on the front edge of the receiver and in one of the screw slots. Very sparse oxidative speckling was observed. The bore is smooth and shiny, but a little dirty. The furniture wood is in good condition with thinning finish, and normal handling blemishes. The action functions well, but feels dry and dirty.
Condition is NRA Good.
