SN: 586468 Rifle. Semi-Automatic. U.S. Military contracted service rifle chambered in .30 Carbine, circa 1943. Between June, 8 1943 and July, 29 1943 Inland shipped 1,900 receiver to Rock-Ola at which point the Inland name was lined out and the Rock-Ola name was stamped below the serial number. Features a parkerized finish, blued bolt. 18" Rock-Ola marked barrel (No date) Barrel also stamped with a "P". Thin A1 barrel band stamped "M-R" (Rock-Ola) Winged blade front sight, Early L style flip peep sight, two settings 150 and 300 yards. No bayonet lug (Correct), early Type II push button safety, smooth trigger, flat bolt, and "High Wood" smooth walnut pistol grip shoulder stock with checkered metal buttplate, 'I" cut oiler slot & wide-groove two-rivet handguard. Early Type II magazine catch. Rock-Ola marked trigger assembly, Gas block, Bolt, recoil lug. hammer stamped ."KR" (Rock-Ola) Right stock has "RMC" in box cartouche (Rock-Ola) with Ordnance crossed cannons. Sling cut stamped with Ordnance Flaming Bomb and "RMC". Rifle exhibits approximately 85% of it's arsenal refinish showing light even wear, some handling marks/scratches some scattered areas of pin-prick pitting/rust on the barrel, rear sight, charging handle, trigger and triggerguard. Action is smooth, bore is excellent/bright. Wood stocks are near excellent with some minor dings/scratches. A rare, correct M1. Comes with correct WW2 issue green canvass sling. NRA condition-Good.
