Single-shot falling-block rifle chambered in .45-70 Government, manufactured in 1978 to celebrate Lyman's 100th anniversary. Lyman Centennial Edition II presentation rifle with series number L-78-0272. Includes green velvet lined walnut case with brass hardware that holds; the rifle, a Lyman century model scope with matching series number to rifle, three reloading dies, bullet mold, a box of 20 Lyman .45/70 nickel plated cartridge cases, a Durango Gun cleaning rod with a small Lyman 1878-1978 brass commemorative disc inletted in the top of the handle, a Ruger manual, a large Lyman 1878-1978 brass commemorative disc and a copy of the Lyman Centennial Journal. According to the Journal this is one of 101 deluxe cased versions of this rifle offered in 1978. The rifle is a blued falling block single-shot lever rifle with a 28" tapered bull barrel with scope blocks, floral/scroll engraved receiver with a white tail deer and "Lyman 1878-1978" on the right side and "Lyman 1878-1978 Centennial Edition II on the left, adjustable serrated trigger, checkered deluxe wood, sling studs, sliding tang safety, steel grip cap and factory recoil pad. the rifle is immaculate inside and out. Probably unfired. The case , accessories and rifle are in like new condition.
