MILITARY CARBINE. Cal. 30 Carbine. S# 1237626. Bbl. 18" marked w/ "W" approx. 3" behind front sight. "WP" proof located approx. 5 1/2" from front sight. Milled adj. aperture rear sight marked w/ "H" in shield. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Narrow unmarked bbl. band w/ vertical clamping screw plus stamped swivel. Straight cut slide marked "W". Flat "W" marked bolt. Recoil spring tube is integral w/ receiver. Milled Winchester marked trigger guard. Push button safety. Mag catch is marked "W". Straight cut hammer is marked "WA". Recoil plate is marked "W". High wood oval cut buttstock. Stock is marked on right side w/ crossed cannons & "W.R.A." / "G.H.D.". Marked in sling slot w/ "W". "Bull nosed" 2 Rivet handguard marked "W". Period green web sling. MAGS: 6 - 15 rd. issue mags. & 4 - 30 rd. issue mags. All are blued steel. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 3 Green US canvas 2 pocket mag. pouches. One dated 12/20/56, one is marked "AVERY 1945" and one is marked w/ rack #. CONDITION: stock set has a moderately worn finish w/ scattered handling marks throughout but having clear, crisp markings. Metal retains 75% of its lightly worn parkerized finish.
