ACTION SNIPER RIFLE. Cal. 7.7 Jap. S# 425. Bbl. 25". All visible rifle numbers match except dust cover. This desirable sniper rifle has been assembled with a non matching scope mt. but utilizes the correct four power telescopic sight and has a very good overall appearance. The rifle is marked on top of the receiver bridge w/ the Nagoya Arsenal marking & S#. Receiver ring is marked on top w/ partially intact Imperial mum & 99 Type characters. Mum has been defaced w/ 3 light grind marks leaving a good legible appearance. Bolt has correct turned down handle. Notched checkered safety knob. Dust cover is early type w/ riveted stop & measures 6" overall. Ladder aperture rear sight graduated to 1,500 meters. AA wings are present. Inverted V front sight w/ protective ears. 4 7/8" cleaning rod is present. 2 Screw upper band. Open top lower band w/out monopod mt. Hardwood stock set w/ full length handguard. Sm. recoil bolt. 2 Screw butt swivel. Cup type buttplate. Original laminated canvas sling w/ inked Nagoya Arsenal marking. Dovetailed scope mt. on left side of receiver. Scope has original rubber eyepiece. Scope is marked on top of objective lens w/ 4x7 circular manufacturer's mark & "NO 10095". Scope has etched military type reticle graduated for range & windage. Mt. is marked w/ 4 Japanese characters above locking lever & 2 Japanese characters w/ arrows indicating locked & unlocked. Scope has black lacquered finish. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brass muzzle protector. CONDITION: stock set has very nice appearance w/ light wear. Stock has been lightly cleaned & w/ thin coat of added finish. Metal has 80% original blue finish w/ light wear, scattered handling marks & sm. areas of patina. Telescope has lg. percentage of black lacquered finish w/ sm. spots of missing finish, sm. spots of added finish, light wear & handling marks.
