SEMI-AUTO MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 7.62 NATO. S# 0941. Bbl. 23 1/8". Numbers match on receiver, bolt, receiver cover & stock. Import marked on bottom of bbl. These rifles were converted from their original 7.65 Argentine caliber to 7.62 NATO in the early 1960s and given detachable 20 rd. magazines. The magazines while similar to the FAL magazines in profile are not interchangeable. Receiver ring is marked on top w/ Argentine crest & marked on left side w/ boxed "ARA" which stands for Armada de la Republica Argentina which is the Argentine Navy. Tangent aperture rear sight adj. for windage. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Bbl. has muzzle cap installed. Walnut stock set w/ trap buttplate. Buttstock is marked on the right side "119" rack number. Correct brown leather sling. MAGS: 1 unmarked 20 rd. & 1 unmarked approx. 10 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: screw on flash hider in butt & shop made hook shaped tool. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, dents, staining & scratches throughout. Metal parts have thinning worn original black coating w/ scratches & handling marks. Very good shiny bore. PROVENANCE: from the estate collections of Charles P. Obremski. (22-1252/RW).
