STRAIGHT GRIP & 30" BBLS. Cal. 20 Ga. 2 3/4". S# 162305. Bbl. 30" are marked w/ Parkers Famous Meriden Connecticut address & "TITANIC STEEL" on concave matted rib. All correct factory markings are on bbl. flats. 0 Frame Parker action features automatic safety & nickel plated dbl. triggers. Action engraved in usual "D" style w/ 60% coverage varying sized scroll surrounding vignettes of single dogs on sides; a pointing pointer on left & an alert setter on right. "PARKER BROS." is in rib & behind each scene. Trigger plate engraved w/ vignette of four flying ducks(?). Scroll engraved trigger guard has S# on tang. Nicely fiddle figured European walnut straight grip buttstock, measures 13 5/8" over a decrepit silver pad. Stock features usual losenge shaped drop points, point pattern checkering at grip & a large vacant silver oval on toeline. Matching splinter ejector forend has usual release, steel tip, & patent date on forend iron. MEASUREMENTS: BARRELS: Bore diameter) R: 617. L: 617. Restriction) R: .017 (MOD). L: .019 (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness) R: .025. L: .020 5" behind muzzle along bottom rib. STOCK: LOP: 13 5/8". DAC: 1 1/2-". DAH: 2 1/8". Cast: Neutral. WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 7 oz. CONDITION: good, just the way it came from granddad's closet. Bbls. retain 40-50% original blue w/ considerable loss overall & some very light pitting in scattered areas along w/ a few nicks & dings. Action is mostly silver & some areas going over to brown. There are traces of original color around fences & under top lever. There is no pitting evident & screws appear unturned, except for hinge pin. Trigger guard is nearly all silver gray. Triggers retain over 80% of their nickel plating. Stocks retain most of their original finish w/ considerable wear & grime, minor nicks & dings overall w/ only 1 or 2 sm. deeper dents. Checkering lightly worn & dirty. Old pad heavily crazed & petrified. Bores are fine to very fine w/ some light frosting & a number of scattered light dents, mostly on side of left bbl about 6" behind muzzle & another fairly heavy ping on top of right bbl 8" from muzzle. Action is tight. Bbls. are on face. Ejectors are in time. Gun matches all specifications in Parker serialization ledger. "The Parker Story" estimates that only 330 20 bore "DH" guns w/ 30" bbls were made. How many of those w/ original straight grip stocks? (20-1657/MGM21). CURIO. $3,000-8,000.
