WITH KERN AARAU TELESCOPIC SIGHT. Cal. 7.5 X 55 Swiss. S# 1864. Bbl. 29" & includes muzzle brake. S# matches on receiver, bolt, scope, import marked on side of bbl. These unusual sniper rifles were designed & built around the Model 1931 straight pull bolt action. The mag. is offset & tilted to allow for easier loading of the rifle when the telescope is mounted. The receiver has integral mt. bases for the detachable telescope. Rifle is fitted w/ a perforated steel flash suppressor & muzzle brake w/ bayonet lug. The Kern 3.5X scope w/ post & crosshair reticle has elevation to a range of 800 meters & an integral mt. Receiver marked on top w/ "Swiss cross". Bbl. has "BP" proof. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1,500m. Blade front sight w/ protective ears is drift adj. for windage. Rifle has heavy duty steel bipod mounted on forward end of trigger guard. Beech stock set w/ pistol grip. Grip checkered w/ flat top diamonds. Original Swiss leather sling. Scope has S# enhanced in white. Post & crosshair reticle. MAGS: 1-6 rd., marked on bottom "Zf. Kar." & S#. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: green painted steel scope can w/ belt loops. Scope adjusting tool is not present. CONDITION: stock set has moderate to heavy wear w/ dents, scratches & handling marks. Handguard has nearly full length crack on top right. Notable loss of wood at end of grip. Notable wear & scratches on both sides of forend. Metal has 60% original thinning blue turning gray w/ wear & scattered scratches. Scope has notably gray appearance. Optics appear clear & serviceable. Muzzle brake assembly has notable plum coloration. Good bore w/ lightly worn lands. (22-307/RW). CURIO. $2,500-4,000.
