CARBINE WITH ORIGINAL FINISH AND CRISP MARKINGS. Cal. 30 Carbine. S# 4546260. Bbl.18", marked behind front sight w/ "ROCK-OLA" & is not dated. Flip type rear sight marked "S" "BR". Sight has been staked in place. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Replacement bbl. band w/ bayonet lug has light gray parkerized finish but no visible manufacturer's mark. Straight cut slide, bbl. gas block (right side), rnd. bolt, milled trigger housing & recoil plate marked "ROCK-OLA". Push button safety. Mag. catch marked "AR". Straight cut hammer marked "KR". High wood oval cut walnut stock w/ crest correct "cross cannons" & boxed "RMC" on right side of butt. Sling slot has hand scratched "W". Lg. neatly cut "W" at end of pistol grip. 2 Rivet walnut handguard marked "RMC". MAGS: 1-15 rd. detachable marked encircled "II". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period green canvas carrying case w/ non adj. canvas strap. Case is closed by 2 snaps w/ 2 additional bases added. Case is stenciled "Eric W. Wood" "LT. COL. USMC". CONDITION: stock set has original finish w/ light wear & scattered sm. handling marks. Metal has 80% original parkerized finish w/ thinning & light wear. Canvas case has light wear & staining but stitching is generally tight & appears serviceable. Very good shiny bore. (22-1506/RW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
